[Theory] Orochimaru eventually succeeds in Taking Sasuke's Body

All right now, we know the basic premises of the Naruto and Sasuke situation, and Oro's part in it.

BUT I noticed that this exact story has been done before:

Supernatural, Percy Jackson and the Olympians, and Kingdom Hearts.

There are two boys who are rivals and/or best friends, one goes crazy the other sets out to save them then a great evil takes control of one of thems body. Then the other fights him and the possessed one gets his body back and sacrifices himself to save the day.

This is my theory, Sasuke and Naruto fight, and Naruto wins. But they are both so injured and exhauseted from the fight that Oro jumps in and reveals that now that Sasuke is weakened from the fight he can take his body and succeeds in doing so.

Orochimaru sends the Edo Hokages to destroy the villiage (or Shinobi Alliance). And Naruto despite being injured tries to stop him (we see the Hokages attacking the villiage and the Konoha 10 plus many others try to fight them.)

Naruto fights but can't be Orochimaru because of his injuries so he appeals to Sasuke who is still alive in Oro. Sasuke retakes control of his body and ends Edo Tensei and destroys Oro, dieing in the process.

Sasuke and Naruto recouncil as Sasuke dies in Naruto's arms.

What do you think of my theory and reasoning?

No he isn't, he established he still wants Sasuke's body and he wants to destroy the Hidden Leaf, he made that clear the moment he was resurrected.

Orochimaru doesn't need Sasuke anymore. We originally taught to believe that Oro wanted the sharingan so he could feel the power of Uchiha and finally gain the ability to learn all jutsu. That was however only until he found the scroll entailing the secrets of the reaper death seal and how to undo it. Oro's motives changed. He needed Sasuke's sharingan to enter the Naka Shrine. There was a reason they had to go there specifically to unseal his arms and the 4 hokages. The tablet is magical folks. Before performing the RDS he puts the reaper mask on right in front of the tablet and then looks right at it and then the ritual begins. He got what he wanted, his arms.

I predict he will re-direct his attention to "Naruto Kun"

I would like invite you to ask yourselves why Naruto's biju mode looks different than any other jinchurki we've seen. He doesn't glow like that because of Kurama's chakra, he glows like that because there is something special about his chakra. If Naruto receives his next power up from Minato, appearances are going to become even more sagely and Oro is going to be all over that like flies on poopy on a hot summer day.

From the time of his attempt to possess Sasuke before his "death" to the time of his transfer to the Zetsu was not three years. Nowhere close, not even a year perhaps.

Which adds to my theory that this is all part of his plan. Orochimaru is one of the smartest villians in Naruto, plus he was the first real villian in the series.

I think it would make sense that he is the last and he succeeds in taking Sasuke's body or whatever for his plan, it would bring the series main story line which is Naruto trying to save Sasuke full circle.

Don't know if he'll get Sasuke's body, but I do agree with you that he is a smartest SOB/bad gay in the series and he will most likely end up being the final villain of the series.

Totally Sasuke and Naruto fight and they both seem to loose when they are both weak Oro jumps in, Naruto gets mad and kills Oro.

I don't think it will turn out like that. Orochimaru is probably the only villain in the series capable of third-level scheming, and I wouldn't be surprised if he has far greater plans for the ninja world after this war. Now that his body is almost entirely made of senju DNA, I can't see him being willing to give that up so easily. Its obvious that senju > uchiha.

Or, he can just be killed again like some fodder once he's no longer needed. Would be a damn shame though.

Orochimaru stills want Sasuke's body, he even said so upon being resurrected, why?

1) The Sharingan - the power of those eyes would push Orochimaru's power through the roof, not only that, but also because it would expedite his jutsu learning a lot.
2) Sasuke's body - It's capable of very high speeds of it's own accord, without the need of chakra/jutsu enhancements and has been advanced to have good strength, agility and of course, Uchiha blood runs strong through him.

It's too late for him to get Sasuke's body though, Oro falls short against the Sharingan.
