Would Sasuke have left the Leaf even without Oro?

Back in part 1, having a little debate with my friend- would Sasuke have eventually left the Leaf village even if Orochimaru had never placed the curse mark and sent the Sound 4 to collect him? Orochimaru was a big contributor to the path Sasuke has chosen to walk down but at the time same time, Sasuke was still getting pushed around by Haku, Gaara and the like and Naruto was still outdoing him. It's very possible that he would've left to seek out Itachi on his own accord at some point anyway.

I personally think that he wouldn't have. He'd have got angry with Naruto and maybe still had their fight but Kakashi's little tree speech he gave should've calmed him down over time. I think he'd make sure he got sent on the Itachi capture mission or something, without necessarily having to leave the village.

There was a lot on the guy's mind- Orochimaru just gave him an out. What do you think?

no I doubt it , if he were to leave he would have done it ages ago and why even leave when there is nothing out there for him , at least when he was in konoha he had kakkashi to train him .

no i dont think he would have in my opinion.. the things that lead him to leave the leaf was his defeat against naruto on the rooftops because naruto's rasengan caused more damage than his chidori

and the sound 5 had a big influence on him aswell ... no oro means no sound 5 .. if anything he would of stayed in the village and train or would have left the village and died

No, beacuse the only reason why Sasuke left in the first place was because Orochimaru won him over with the curse mark. If you take that away he would have gotten angry at times, but he never would have built up the nerve to leave.

However, just because Sasuke wouldn't have left in Part 1, I do think it was inevitable whats happening now. Itachi said he was prolonging his life to die infront of Sasuke, so that plan would have happened regardless of how strong Sasuke was. Once that happened Sasuke would have unlocked the MS, and Tobi would have fetched him the same way he did in Part 2, which would inevitably lead to Sasuke becoming batshit crazy like he is now. The only difference there is that Orochimaru and Deidara might still have been alive.

I agree on the whole 'not leaving' argument but think about it, Sasuke just wasn't getting strong enough from Kakashi's teachings alone and he in the Leaf Village, that's about as good as teaching gets.

Plus the rivalry between Naruto & Sasuke would just keep escalating and getting more and more dangerous. Over time, feeling undermined by everyone would get too him.

but what caused Sasuke to challenge Naruto was his jealousy of Naruto, Gaara kicking Sasuke's ass and the overshadowing thought of Itachi looking down on him. That's why he showed signs of delinquency against his own team.

maybe because he said one time "i even considered to let go of revenge and to i should live this way" to naruto, its not exact but its pretty close.

yes i think he would have still left the village sasuke main purpose for staying was so he could get strong enough to kill itachi so i think once he think he was strong enough to kill itachi he would have left to hunt him down.......Orochimaru just offer a faster way for him to gain power than when he was training with Kakashi.......
