From what we've seen, Hashirama is solely Mokuton for obvious reasons.

OT: Well, err... maybe. But I doubt it.

Hashirama could outlast him and use SM to put Tobirama in a bad position, unless the latter goes Super Mode and drowns Hashirama by piling the entire sea on top of him.
