Not a Clan, The Namikaze is an ordinary family Name that produce a genius in Minato. Minato was the last living member of that family sines Naruto was an orphan and the Uzumaki are scattered all over the world and Hiding under different names so their was no safe way to look for any living relative of Kushina to take care of Naruto.

Maybe he wasn't given the surname Namikaze so that he won't know who is his father. Matching blond hair and Namikaze in name, little Naruto would then know that 4th hokage sealed the kyuubi inside his own son and died and that was to be kept as a secret.Don't know!!
and i also wonder that why naruto has taken the clan of her mother and not of his father?
I Mean usually the children takes after their father's name and clan.....
