Kakashi isn't his peer, peers mean people among the same age so technically the answer is Sakura but he is closer to Kakashi IMO. Also, I think his closest peer would probably be Shikamaru, Shikamaru was there to comfort him after J-man's death. I would also put Hinata as a canidate for closest peer.

I understand your point, but him and Shik are 2 characters who I would describe as having a lot of history together, and yes they're peers, but not really on the same level of Kakashi or Sakura.

In terms of peer it is between Sakura and Shikamaru....I'd day Hinata is more than a peer.

In generalization, I'd say Iruka....he was the first person to vocally accept Naruto (since miss Hinata was shy).

Closest circle is Sakura- sister, Kakashi- teacher, Hinata- lady of interest, Shikamaru- best friend, Iruka- brother, Lee- competitive rival/ close friend, and Jiraiya- psuedo father/ grandfather.


He technically also considers Sasuke as his best friend with Shikamaru who is probably his actual one in deeds.

If it's by classmates I would say Shikamaru. Naruto has only recently began talking to Kakasi so it certainly wouldn't be him.

I think the closest would be either Sakura and possibly Lee , also Shikamaru as a friend .

but who are we kidding to naruto it will always be sasuke , the entire manga counts on power and whenever one of them gets more powerful the other soon catches up
