Who's Naruto's closest Leaf peer?

Kakashi or Sakura?

He's always liked Kakashi as a teacher. There is absolutely no doubt their bond has gotten much, much, MUCH more powerful over the years. He's always liked Sakura more than Kakashi at part 1, but I can't help but feel those feelings have waned since he left the village, and it took another dive when she lied to him and herself.

Note that I'm not saying he doesn't like her anymore... Just that after everything considered, and how much more time hes spent with him than her and the moral support they've been giving each other during his fight, he's gotten closer to Kakashi since.

Kakashi has done more for him though. He's provided training, wisdom, moral support, battle support and he was the first to go after him when he was through with Nagato.

I can completely understand why people say Iruka... But that last point was a very loud statement of who thinks more of him. Where was he when Naruto was about to collapse in the forest?

Kakashi isn't his peer, peers mean people among the same age so technically the answer is Sakura but he is closer to Kakashi IMO. Also, I think his closest peer would probably be Shikamaru, Shikamaru was there to comfort him after J-man's death. I would also put Hinata as a canidate for closest peer.
