Ok this is my first time making a thread so if I do something wrong, forgive me. I have a theory that naruto will indeed end up killing his dear friend Sasuke in the end. While talking to my brother i just started to think of a few situations Naruto will be placed in, and here they are.
First, I believe Naruto will soon become Hokage. I think this because the stage has been already set for him to do so. Tsunade will die soon if not within this war. She has been established as one who trusts Naruto so she will soon pass on her role to him once he finally proves he is ready. She will put her trust in him just as Pain and many more have. Tsunade has been fighting Madara and is close to death as it is. She will die during this war but the fight must go on. I do not believe Naruto and Sasuke will fight in this war but after it. After the war is over naruto will become Hokage of the Leaf villiage. This will set the stage up for an epic fight between Naruto and Sasuke.
Now that that has been established, this is why Naruto will kill Sasuke. Naruto has much love for Sasuke and does not wish harm on him no matter how evil Sasuke becomes. however, many characters have been telling Naruto he does have a choice to make.
On one end, Sasuke is a dear friend. Naruto loves him more than anything and wants to save him. He wants sasuke safe and back home. However, sometimes the best way to establish solutions do not fit what your ideal situation truly is.The only way Naruto will kill Sasuke is in this situation of him being Hokage. Since the beginning of this manga, two points have definitely been established. One, the uchiha clan has deep love but even more hatred. They are possessed by revenge and it will turn them into the most hate-filled clan in history. Second, the senju clan has the will of fire. They must protect what they hold dear and where they come from. They are the best fit for Hokage and have done everything they can to protect the village, even if they must make a deep decision.
Having said all this, here is why Naruto will kill Sasuke. We all know sasuke wants to destroy the leaf. He will def. one day attack the leaf with the intent of destruction. Naruto will be hokage when this happens. he will have fulfilled his dream and is where he wants to be. Naruto has been selfish putting his own want to save Sasuke over the well being of everyone else but once Hokage, he has more to think about. naruto will have to think about the entire village that he grew up in. He once hated the village ppl for how they treated him but he truly wants to protect them and be their hero. Once sasuke attacks, he will have to think about what he truly wants and killing sasuke will be the only way. his will of fire will burn stronger than even. he will think about the children of the village and the ones he grew up with. he will consider his position and dream of being hokage. a hokage's role is to protect the village over anything. he will have to choose between killing his dear friend and fulfilling his own destiny. the uchiha clan is one of hate so sasuke will have conviction in his decision of destruction. Naruto will have the oppurtunity to either save his friend and let sasuke revive his clan of hate and revenge. or kill sasuke and not only protect the village but finally end the long history of hatred that has gone on since the SO6P older son. being the new sage naruto will choose the peace that every mentor, trainer, and sensei has entrusted to him and end the hate streak that has reached through the years.
