if your comparing Sasuke and living breathing person , to Madara an Edo who isn't even really madara ; he is a f#cking hybrid of Madara/Hashirama then sure but if we are talking about Madara with Rinnegan who was a crusty old man then yes. EMS Madara? Maybe, if the whole Shonen plot kicks in. EDO Madara? Only a high-end deep hindquarters pull from Kishimoto with Shonen goodness written all over it would end up this way OR Madara getting defeated in any form. Had this been a manga outside this genre, Madara would have put everyone under Genjutsu, Sasuke would have destroyed leaf, the Nations would have received their long overdue Just deserts and any surviving Uchiha - Sasuke and Obito - would have been free of this genjutsu.

Or, Madara could have put those who wanted to be under Eternal Tsukuyomi's shroud, leaving the rest under his rule. But we don't in a perfect world, and this story is fully susceptible to bad writing to make room for this genre. Le Sigh.
