It's all about personal taste of course, but it's also number one selling manga for a reason. I love One Piece, and it's my favorite series of all times, so I recommend you give it a shot.

The first episodes are known for being pretty slow, or maybe even boring for someone, so just thought I should warn you about it.

The best! It's character development is the best out of the "Trinity" and it has the most diverse plot/story compared to any manga/anime to date.

Give it a try until after Alabasta arc and then decide if it's good or not. Since it get's greatly interesting from then on.

In terms of strenght, maybe they are equal or timeship Luffy is stronger(he has COA haki after all), but timeskip Luffy takes it overall because of the superiority in speed

Can really compare the two NM luffy is a fighter that knows 100different forms of fighting while luffy only focuses on haki and his df so I would say NM luffy is slightly stronger then current luffy

Well we haven't seen NM Mugi go G2 and it is possible so for now NM Mugi's abilities are incomparable.

But with those amount of shadows I'm pretty sure G2 NM Mugi would be Kizaru speed.
