Me and a friend were just discussing this the other day. We both agreed that Lee or a comrade of Lee's should always carry a bottle of sake. Kind of like a last ditch effort/last resort type deal. We also wondered if Lee's gate techniques would be different while under the influence. Granted we've only seen him go up to(don't quote me on this, it's only happened once) the 3rd or 5th gate I think. I still think it would be cool.
On a slightly off topic note, I was hoping the war would be similar to the Retrieval Arc in that all the K11 shinobi would have some kind of character defining battle. Shika got his plus after Hidan, and Chouji during the fight with Edo Asuma. Lee's breakthrough performances up to now include only Gaara and Kimimaro(which wasn't really going his way). While I enjoyed his chunnin exams bout w/Naruto, Neji has only ever had one big fight, that being with Kidomaru of the Sound 4. Naruto has come far, and his progress is astounding, but it would nice to see the lower characters get a push/power up/etc every now and then.
