I should also add, in Japan kids are more mature at age 10 and up.

As for the symbolism I mentioned earlier, being naked is when we are most vulnerable and by having the snakes entangle him, it implies that Orochimaru took advantage of Sasuke's emotions.

Almost all Japanese OP and ED in any anime express through questionable images, the emotions the character is currently enduring in the story. Sometimes it even hints at a bad guy that's not really bad and may convert to good, or a good guy who will betray everyone.

It's really funny how most Japs are rather emotionless and stoic IRL, in comparison

They seem happier for it.

I find that children in North America (and other countries) if held back from reality by overprotective parents, will only seek it out when they age and experience the wrong things from being forbidden from being allowed to for so long. They kind of go crazy with that freedom and it doesn't always result in good development.

In my opinion, if a child at an age where they can comprehend deeper facts is allowed to learn more about "forbidden" things, they will be better prepared for what the future brings them and avoid the bad things if they learn they are bad.

> Japan's suicide rates are higher than in...practically everywhere.

lolnojpg

There's a very thin wall of difference between "being properly brought up in a modern world, to better adapt to all of it's negative traits"
and "lol we're ****ed up and have vague moral compass in our society"

What's controversial? It's Japan, and it's fan service.

There's nothing more to it.

They are deep in debt and that's usually what leads to those unfortunate deaths.

I think it can be combined, you can be raised properly but allowed enough freedom to find yourself at a young age. My family never had rules, and when I had an adult question, they answered with the truth. I am who I am from that upbringing and I don't believe the whole too many cartoons, anime or games can make you a murdering thief like parents say. You're looking at a gamer girl who loves anime and violent games, but is passive in real life. lol

As for naked Saukse, it will lead some to dirty thoughts, others like me see the symbolism, and some don't care at all. It's kind of funny how one pic is viewed so differently by people, but it's simply just a pic.

Our world is one big contridiction imo. lol

That too, problem being that Japs just have inadequate mentality so it's harder for them to get accustomed to new changes in society and such. They tend to get either overemotional or too detached in their enviroment.

Once again, it's all very dandy and majestic but there has to be Balance. Y'know, not too strict nor too overprotective. It's all very simple, actually.

Yeah i know, it's prolly just the mix of all the above: Fanservice, symbolism, market demographic, i just needed to make a thread about something interesting

They sound like Uchiha. They are amazing inventors and super creative, but there's always a fine line between genius and insanity.

I agree, but the scale is always being tipped too far one way or the other. Balance lacks majorly.

It's a good topic, it's like an ink blot test. We all see something different and it makes the topic fun!
