Because people spam those theories all over other profiles (hence my sig), which automatically results in at least like 10 thanks from random people. After that, other's simply jump on the bandwagon.

EDIT: Of course, there are also good theories that deserve that amount of thanks, but in most cases, it's simply due to VM spam.

i understand how you might not like it because people will spam sometimes, or copy theories from other sites...

but whenever i see a nice honest,very well put theory even if it doesn't make much sense in the end person worked and thought hard so for that i will give a thanks.
