So I have been thinking, as well said this in another thread but now decided to start a thread about it.
So, did Rikudou had wife?
I actually doubt it now that Rikudou Sennin had a wife. I mean trough Jiraya in manga he believed that Rikudou was a monk or a priest, and for me I believe that Rikudou is such a priest that only stick with his clan (monk/priest clan/region) and it is a law for priests (different religions/locations) and monks (special monks) to not have girls.
So how did he get his sons? From what we learned is that Rikudou Sennin had the ability to create anything based from nothing by using Yin & Yang releases. So. It would not be impossible that he did create his two sons with Yin & Yang releases, but probably he started off with one son first. With would be the Elder. Later made the second because he wanted his son to have a brother (Younger).
Maybe this is as well where his children get different parts of Rikudou? The Elder got his Yin side with would be the side of Juubi (The Eyes) and the Younger son got his Yang side with would be Rikudou himself (Body).
So, any thoughts? Disagree, I don't mind. But for me it sounds possible.
But then again these things will never be stated by Kishimoto himself so it doesn't really matter if you believes so or if not xD
Neither I have any fact/proves that can prove you that is how he did it. But like I said he could create anything based from nothing so it's defiantly not impossible
