Literally, I've watch the first 50 episodes and it doesn't appeal to me at all. I thought it would pick up after episode 20 but I was wrong, I heard a lot of great thing about One Piece & I'm so disappointed. Fans must have been speakings from there ***.

I don't know why so many people cry about the first bit. IT'S A 17 YEAR OLD BOY TRYING TO FIND CREW MATES AND A SHIP, WHAT DO YOU WANT HIM TO DO? Watch the Alabasta arc, in my opinion, that's when it got interesting. You'll definitely love Enies lobby and anything after it, so just watch it.

hhhhhhhhh we've all been there it's extremely boring at first and the art work is old , HOWEVER if you can hang on to it for another 50 episodes you will be MIND BLOWN , there are over 600 episodes , it took me a while to watch them , now I regret watching them that fast , OP is the only anime where you can't tell fillers from actual story arcs since they are so good , my advice keep with it it's AWESOME

Edit : all of you have to understand one thing , when OP first started Oda was just playing around with it , it was his first serious manga so he focused on idiotic stuff like rubber boy , long noses and money freak , it was meant to last a maximum of 2 years , he was just testing stuff out to see if readers liked them , when the fandom increased and people actually liked the manga he started to take things more seriously so it only stand to reason that the first part of the series isn't that good .

One Piece is definitely worth watching. It also has a very unique story and if you don't like it, try sticking to it until the end of Alabasta arc.
Also,you might wanna check some AMV's so you'll know how awesome it becomes(these are actually spoilers, so watch at your own risk)

one piece is definitly worth a try...but whether anime or manga is up to you..i prefer manga, but the one piece anime is said to be aswesome too..just keep on watching, it will become epic^^

Yeah the initial start of him finding crew mates is a slow progression, but once you get to Alabasta, Water 7, Ennis Lobby, Impel Down, and Marineford....things get epic!
