i'm pretty sure fire beats wood
^^^ this explains it. Mokuton does absorb and suppress chakra but amatarasu isn't pure chakra. Common sense: fire burns on wood and wood makes it more active.
i'm pretty sure fire beats wood
Didn't Gaara's sand block Amatarasu.
That was "defensive" eton flames plus sand has a high melting point so that would be burning forever
The fire may be slow.
But they dont go out until it is all burned....
Then again you could just keep making more wood....
I think Mokuton wins this.
Just a quick thread going out to all debaters, dont you thinkthat if fromm what we have seen in the manga about amatarasu being slow burning, mokuton being a resilient as it is will render ammy uselss since of course mokuton is a durable element not to mention chakra infused
Hence people saying amatarasu burning things like mokuton style forest and wood dragon is just giving the mokuton user at an advantage because then he would have ammy flames on his would that he can then use against you. it either forces the user of ammy to dispel flames or get hit with the flames
what do you guys think?
Fire burrns wood
As fast as it took Amaterasu to burn this forest. And how long will it take for slow burning fire to burn just one piece of mokuton? mokuton is disposible

Is sand, wood? Would you use sand to make a fire or wood.

When has fire ever burned through sand?If regular chakra infused sand can take Amaterasu than chakra made wood that can take on a TBB can take on Amaterasu.
When does durable mean indestructible like you are making it out to be. Tsunade destroyed Mokuton before, Rasengan has, Susano'o Arrows pierced it. Jinton destroyed it.Your comparing normal wood to Chakra infused mokuton, there is a reason why it is one of the most durable elements
