MS and it's abilities

So far we have seen a handful of shinobi using MS.Apart from the way its unlocked I want to know why people have specific abilities for MS.Like Madara having susanoo without amaterasu while Obito's abilities are completely different.
what influences them to unlock specific tech's like kamui etc.

Good question. I'm sure everyone can use the Izanagi, only two can use the Susano'o + Amaterasu and Obito can use the Kamui. So I guess it just varies from each Uchiha to the other. I wonder what does cause it?

Someone had a theory where the abilities of the MS were affected by the feelings of the user e.g. Madara wanted power so his Susanoo became OP, Obito wanted to escape from reality so he unlocked Kamui, Itachi was a master of genjutsu since he wanted to pacify people without actually hurting them since he was a pacifist.

Well I always thought of the ability as a after effect of the type of trauma they felt.

Obito Kamui - He can teleport because he wanted to be there for Rin and Kakashi; he is intangible because he doesn't want to live in this world anymore

Kakashi Kamui - Because he wanted to hide Rin

Sasuke Amaterasu - Because he wants to rekindle the flames of hatred of the Uchiha

Itachi Tsukiyomi - because he wishes he could live in another reality

Shisui KA - because he wanted to save th Uchiha and Konoha

Madara Susanoo - Deepest form of hatred an Uchiha can possess

There are some bugs with my theory, like why does Itachi have Susanoo but I'll stand by this theory fornow

It varies from person to person with the third power ultimately being the susanno.
Kakashi/Obito: Ranged kamui/ Intangibility.
Sasuke:Amaterasu/flame control
itachi: amaterasu/ tsukyomi
Marada: idk...he hasn't showed any ms techs other than susanno.
