Like we saw in his fight against Sasuke, he only used a few jutsu and died after using Susano. Besides, it would be the same with his opponent. Please read carefully. Nearly every jutsu of Itachi's has weakness except Shisui's Kotoamatsukami.

Listing his techniques and possible counters means nothing unless you can name a ninja who is able to counter all of itachi's techniques (which you can't), so against any given opponent itachi still has one or more advantages of winning. Besides stating it himself, Itachi still couldn't use Koto in battle as it is already rigged with the command to protect kononha and would only take effect if visual contact is made with Itachi's own MS, casting the jutsu upon himself, a senseless act.

From what we know of the jutsu Itachi has:

• Amaterasu - can be avoided and blocked through various ways as we've seen with Sasuke, 4th Raikage and Obito.
• Clone Techniques(Suiton clone, Crow clone etc.) - are ineffective against Sensory types and top rank ninja.
• Genjutsu techniques(Demonic Illusion, Tsukyomi etc.) - are ineffective against Uchiha and top rank ninja.
• Katon abilities - are ineffective against Suiton abilities.
• Susano(with Yata Mirror, Totsuka Sword and Yasaka Magtama) - ineffective against Meteorite technique similar jutsu.
• Suiton abilities - are ineffective against Doton abilities.
• Kotoamatsukami - is supposedly the best jutsu with nothing to counter it or avoid it upon range

In other words if it wasn't for Shisui's MS ability; Kotoamatsukami, Itachi would NOT be in the Top 10. :T_T: The point here is, be thankful to Shisui for donating his eye to Itachi. :hooray:

Not sure abut his Susano, Yata Mirror is stated to have absolute defense that will change its composition based on the attack to counter it. As for Kotoamatsukami, didn't Mifune snap out of it as soon it was pointed out to him...

in the anime he did i guess idk manga, didnt really show how fast he broke out of it, but Danzo did let it go

Clone Techniques - They worked well against Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai; in addition to that, he has multiple varieties of his clones, and can use them to initiate genjutsu.

Genjutsu techniques - Itachi is essentially the most skilled genjutsu user in the manga, apart from KA. Saying they are ineffective against anyone, even top-class ninja, is a lie.

Katon abilities - Not everyone has Suiton. In addition, Itachi's Katon techniques are extremely powerful; a little Suiton won't nullify them.

Susanoo - Madara is the only one who can use the Meteorite technique, that we know of. In addition, the Yata Mirror/Totsuka Blade combo makes his Susanoo essentially invincible, while he has chakra reserves.

Suiton - Not everyone has Doton abilities.


Itachi didn't accomplish becoming the ANBU commander at 13 with KA. Nor did he defeat Kakashi, Asuma, and Kurenai with KA. He also didn't use KA against Sasuke, whom he would have defeated if he wanted. He also did not use KA against Nagato OR Kabuto.


Shisui's eye is great, and the most powerful genjutsu in existence, but it's NOT the source of Itachi's power.

I respect your views but like I suggested, there are other shinobi such as Madara, Hashirama, Minato, Naruto maybe Hiruzen and Nagato all have the potential of defeating Itachi on high level. Oh and how could I forget Shisui.

The ninja whom I suggested is the boss in your avatar. Yes, Uchiha Madara. Hashirama has counters for Itachi's main jutsu while Minato can outwit him with his speed and perhaps seal him. Nagato possesses God-like powers, so is likely to counter most techniques. Shisui will capture Itachi and have him under his control by just using one jutsu which I believe you're familiar with by now. Also no where does it say that the user of Kotoamatsukami are unable to change the command of the jutsu.

Itachi sacrificed himself so that his brother would be considered the hero and return to the leaf.
For a jutsu to be used once every now and again without modifications indicates that it is powerful since it is required to be used wisely.
Shisui had to go in order for Itachi to awaken the MS. Also if was only right for Shisui to sacrifice himself since he followed the 'Will of Fire' ideal, for if he had followed the 'Curse of Hatred' ideal he would turn out to become one of the most powerful characters in the Naruto World replacing Madara Uchiha. Kishi obviously didn't want this so you can't argue with the writer. Thank you for your time anyways
