Information on Name(s)-
The name "Hawk" likely derives from the Japanese proverb "a hawk born from a kite" (鳶が鷹を生む, tobi ga taka o umu). It normally means that an extraordinarily gifted child can be born from ordinary parents. However, here it gains an extra meaning, since Tobi (whose name can be translated to kite (鳶)) was responsible for the reformation of Hebi into Taka.

What is Team Taka? -

Team Taka, formerly Team Hebi is a group of four ninja, each encompassing prodigious abilities and skill. There official leader is Sasuke Uchiha, who possess the (Eternal Mangekyou) Sharingan and is a Kage+ Level shinobi who was capable of defeating S-Ranking Criminal(s) such as Deidara. The three other members; Sugitetsu who is a masterful kenjutsu artist, Jūgo who possess his clans ability to absorb Natural Energy indefinetly and Karin who is one of the greatest sensor type ninja who possess a trait to heal herself and others.

Background -
After the betraying of Orochimaru on the part of Sasuke to accomplish his main ambition, murdering Itachi, Sasuke looked throughout Otagakure various hidden bases and camps for three proficient team mates that will assist him on his task. At first, the group was one of hostility, each having a disliking of one another which later grew into a more 'loving' group of shinobi who will gladly risk there lives for one another, most notably seen during Team Taka vs Killer B and Team Taka vs The Kages. Sasuke, engulfed by his own hatred abandoned Sugietsu and Jūgo at the Land of Iron to go kill Danzo where he ruthlessly attempted to murder Karin.

The original goal of Team Taka was based on Sasuke personal motive - it was to kill Itachi with no interruptions. After finding out the truth of Itachi actions, Sasuke changed the teams name from Hebi to Taka with the new goal of destroying Konoha but more specifically, purging the Konoha Elders & Danzo.

Personal Motive(s) -

• Sasuke - His first motive was to kill Itachi but after learning the truth behind Itachi's actions, Sasuke's new motive became the annhilation of Konoha in honor of Itachi and the Uchiha Clans sacrifice.
• Sugitetsu - To confront Kisame (later Killer B) and attain the Samehada. His further goal was to attain the seven swords that the Seven Swordsman of the Mist have; Sugitetsu wants to begin a new generation of the Swordsman of the Mist with him as the leader.
• Karin - She really didn't have a motive other than being closer to Sasuke.
• Jūgo - His goal was to 'cure' his anger breaks and he believed that Sasuke was the only one other than Kimimmaro who was able to do this.

After aligning themselves with the Akatsuki, they were assigned to Capture Killer B. They succeeded to some degree but when Tobi tried to seal the Hachibi, it failed as Killer B was faking his capture.

Assassination of Danzo Shimura

• Status - Success

Tobi, angered that the Taka failed to capture Killer B, assigned them to kill Danzo by storming the Five Kage Summit in the Land of Iron. The group succeeded but the result was the eventual departure of Karin from the group.

Revival of Orochimaru & Discussion with 'The Ones Who Know Everything'

After the defeat of Kabuto and the reunification of Team Taka, Sasuke went out to revive Orochimaru through the use of a special scroll in order to answer the questions that Itachi manifested into Sasuke.

Karin - Ability to heal her own wounds very fast; it is disputed whether due to her clans vitality (Uzumaki) or if it is a KKG. She can also heal others, generally by them biting her, is a great sensor
