Cause we know Madara gave his rinnegan to Nagato before Obito was crushed and saved so was wondering what was his plan before Obito.

Nagato was to young to talk to Madara let alone understand about reviving Madara

So did Madara just give Nagato his eyes and go into a cave and seal himself inside and thought thats it thats my plan hopefully Nagato's will would be akin to his own will (aspirations). Maybe his plan was for a black Zetsu to groom Nagato but i cant believe Madara would just sit there and wait by chance to save obito, he may not even have known about Obito.

so i was thinking maybe he knows that it was all going to happen that way, very unlikely but he has Zetsu so maybe
or he had a partner that he held his confidence to groom Nagato and play out Madara's plan or ive missed sumthing. Anyway if you have any ideas or thoughts let me know thanks for reading.

I actually think he had lost hope before he met Obito. No plans to return to the world, just die alone in that cave.

That was before he had to attach himself to those tubes, so he could obviously still walk around the world when giving Nagato the eyes. He was an old man who could die anytime in the world he compared to hell, something he said himself.

He once stated he got his rinnegan right before his death, so he was obviously pretty old. Giving them to Nagato was probably out of desperation, hoping Nagato would revive him one day.

What I'm saying now is not facts, so I might as well be wrong. It's just my humble opinion about it.
