common misconceptions happen and assumptions are made when characters say something...
people automatically assume its the absolute truth because KISHI is saying it through the characters...
Well as in the real world and even in NARUTOVERSE everyone has their own opinions...
below are examples of how OPINIONS DIFFER and MISCONCEPTIONS that are made by what people say...

THE ONE WHO KNOWS EVERYTHING
Suigetsu says "the HUMAN who knows everything" and people thought of Rikkouduu Sannin
because suigetsu said it in the singular form of human...as in 1 person.
and they back their theory up when Sasuke says "there are some things ONLY Orochimaru can do."

Thinking "WHO ELSE COULD RESURRECT THE SAGE OF SIX PATHS, BUT OROCHIMARU?"
Then OROCHIMARU says"What do you want to meet THEM for?" as in MULTIPLE PEOPLE not 1 person.
which leads people to think of Uchiha Clan or The Hokage.

Orochimaru says"REVIVE ME" as in he either DIED or just didnt have a physical body....

WE last saw him getting SEALed by TOTSUKA BLADE which traps you inside a demension in the sword perhaps...
But we did see his snake trying to slither away and getting burned alive by AMATERATSU.
When he was split from it his consciousness inhabited Anko's Curse Seal
So im guessing it actually KILLS when Nagato says He will spend eternity in the afterlife or something wth jiraiya.iTACHI SAYS IT SEALS HIM PERMANENTLY...

two different meanings here.....Sarutobi doesnt know the inner workings of Orochimaru's Summon so SARUTOBI thinks he stopped it with his ShURIKEN maybe or putting his hands together....
but we know it didnt work because MInato's soul was in the Shinigami..

Hm... well, these are things that are... well, obvious, but apparently not to too many people. i completely agree with you... people assume EVERYTHING without anything real to back it up and if that's not bad enough, they don't even notice inconsistincies with what one character says vs what another character says... i've seen it time and again in it's one very big reason i usually don't join discussions...

i'm a little unclear about one of the theories... i mean, what about Kabuto are we talking about? and what about the current Edo's... u mean will they take part in the war? i do see the Uchiha missing when Kyubbi attacked cuz they weren't slaughtered til maybe 6 or so years later... and i get the Kakashi killing Rin thing... but i am correct on the Edo's? and the Kabuto thing is the one i'm really not clear on... what about it?

I completely agree with this. Furthermore, whenever people discuss theories, it usually turns into flaming or arguing and eventually closing of the thread. And at the end, hardly anything of value was said.
