Favorite mech anime is Code Geass. They have these machines called Knightmares and you can see the Knightmares growing in technology becoming more advanced and powerful. Even though the machines amused, the plot far surpasses the action in Code Geass.

My fave anime series would be either Higurashi or Deathnote :3
In deathnote I loved how it was captivating and made you want to click on the next episode to see what will happen.
In Higurashi I enjoyed how it was creepy as hell and all the splatter; and when you are all 'wtf is happening here' the plot unravels and BOOM everything you didn't expect is connected and the scenario is awesome!
