Hello Base.
Obito Uchiha is the most interesting uchiha there is. His Story Was amazing, A young underachiever as a young boy which nobody took seriously ended up being One of the Most Skilled and powerful shinboi in naruto history. Many people have said "Obito turned bad because of Rin", Which is true but that's not the only thing that made him turn evil. It was Mostly his desire to Achieve peace and Friendship that made him the man he is now. As a kid, He wasn't recognized and acknowledged the same way naruto was in early part 1. After he "died Under the rock, and witnessed Rin's Death by kakashi, His hope for the world broke and he ultimately made it his goal to create the Moon's Eye Plan.
Obito's Reason For turning bad was not fully because of Rin because He could of Acquired the rinnegan from Nagato ( Which would of been difficult but still possible) and revived Rin right there. But he did not which makes it obvious that he truly wanted peace. He is a very unique Uchiha because after rin's Death, He did not take revenge on kakashi who was helplessly laying on the ground which further proves that Obito truly wanted peace.
Many people have made theories that Obito did not want to revive Madara uchiha. If that's the case, obito wanted to continue the Moon's eyes Plan by himself because He knew that Madara was After power and revenge and he isn't purely after peace which again Proves that Obito desires Peace to the Degree that he is willing to stop anyone in his path to Put the Moon's Eyes Plan in affect. His methods are different, But in the end He truly wants Peace Like nagato.
