How to counter Subs on Ninja storm 3?

Probably going to sound like a noob here, but whenever I fight online, everytime I use substitution, the enemy just counters and turns around and keeps hitting me. Not exactly sure how to do it. Sorry if I confuse some of you with my question lol.

Oh well thats your answer right there, My character is neji, an i dont spam jutsu at all, what i do is force you to use all your subs while ill still have mine simply by anticipating when you are gonna try to counter me and hitting Y+A the second u turn into a log that way by time you re appear u dont have a chance to do anything because you are being stunned by my dash an i can continue my combo assault

this and block as soon as you sub and wait for your opponent's combo to end and that gives you the chance to attack him yourself

See, I had no idea that all you had to do was Y+A to chakra dash after they sub. That's what I was asking lol, I feel a bit stupid now.

yes i hate it very much and it pretty much ruins online multiplayer for me xP its annoying because i always end up opponents who have really mastered keepin their combos goin with this to the point that reacting to it is impossible since they are dash inbetween when i disappear and reappear, so there is literally no chance to respond with a dash or attack etc to break out of it. i used to think i needed to time my subs better but regardless of timing whether at start, mid or near end of combo they always react lightning quick to do it rather than assume when ill sub. i find it really disappointing cus for online it feels like the game has been reduced to "the 2 players clash -> one player starts combo on other -> other player unable to escape due to combo cancel-> all their subs used up -> getting their ass kicked for entire match"

That is so much cheaper than spamming jutsu dude. Also you can't spam Neji's jutsu lol?
