this must be rennegan in its perfect form requiring juubi to be sealed in your body and controling its full power creating the tomoes on the eyes as a way of using its power too its full extent. just my thoughts on how the doujutsus power can increase just like a jinchuriki.

he started out with byukugan,then as tobirama said special chakra from the brain cells is used to make sharingan, thats probaly what those vains are some type of chakra and the sage must of had some type of sagemode that he combined with byukugan with some type of strong emotion making sharingan then when he lost a close friend he must of obtained ms tho since he had senju dna it naturaly transformed into rennegan.

when the juubi is sealed in a host with rennegan and the host can control its power to its full extent coverting all of its chakra as his own the tomoes appear creating perfect rennegan.
