Japanese are backwards already so I see the confusion as to why they would talk about Jiraiya at first, then bring him up again as if they were speaking about someone else. The way i'm reading it is the way it's meant to be read. Manga panels are kept simple and there is no misconception or confusement there. The whole way through they talk about just one ninja and that is Jiraiya. There is no indication or reason or hinting that they'd be talking about Kurama- otherwise they would've stated so. A conversation doesn't change topics literally every sentence.

Please stop preaching your incorrect argument, you have NOTHING. Or at least stop being so f*cking condescending to anybody who dares disagree with you. almost all of the kyuubi's chakra was Sealed.

It seriously make No sense for An Ms Itachi + Kisame to be scared of a Mere Genin because he has the kyuubi inside him, Than to be scared of one of the legendary sannin, One of the strongest Ninja in the leaf.

Especially when Kisame stood up to naruto in the hall way and dealt with the kyuubi's chakra in one Mere sword swing, and in part two fearlessly went up against a perfect jin, Yet was scared of an Imperfect Genin Jin.

how would they know anything more about naruto since they havent been around him, they heard legends about the 9tails though, and itachi is from the leaf, he would give a 9tails he didnt want to capture a heavy rep if he was kinda trying to protect it from someone who wanted it

Your biggest flaw is that you are making this all so far fetched. The amount of 'detail' and thought you think were going through these character's heads at the time. All of your points are so OUT THERE and descriptive that there's no way Kishimoto could've meant that. It's a passing sentence on a manga page, nobody is going to sit there any analyse it to this much depth. It presented some exposition towards Jiraiya and explains Kisame & Itachi's motives for running away. It was a simple little chat about Jiraiya, that was the purpose of this page and it achieved it. THAT IS IT.

I actually don't like Jiraiya too much at all, he doesn't add much to the story overall you know? I like Kabuto & Deidara more than any of these guys to be honest.... If we can keep things civilised for a damn second, i'm just leaving it at that I just disagree with you, I don't think there's any more to it than the page suggests because it's really not an important page and it never comes up again. You can think whatever you like, people interpret stories in different ways and it doesn't really make a difference in the manga who he was talking about so y'know- it doesn't matter too much really.

And it's funny that you suddenly call the Nine Tails ''it''. The fact that they fled the moment Jiraiya arrived already proves they meant Jiraiya. Otherwise they would have fled the scene the moment they saw Naruto.

It's best not to underestimate Jiraiya. Nagato was nearly defeated despite outnumbering Jiraiya. Nagato stated that he would not have defeated Jiraiya had he had prior knowledge of his "secret".

Jiraiya almost beat Pain. Nagato is on a whole different level. The only chance Jiraiya would have of beating Nagato is a Frog Genjutsu, which has a very very pitiful chance, at best.

itachi was looking for a chance to escape with a reason, they werent there to fight a full scale battle as they were in enemie territory somewhat too close to the leaf village, a fox is a thing as in IT is true...
when i said it i was referring to your statement saying hurting kurama is farfetched i said its not..
