Why I respect Minato

Like it or not, many of the characters and ninjas who are so called Kage level and above have something special that they were given, weather it was a Kg (Sharingan,wood etc etc), bijuu (Ems Madara,Naruto etc etc), or a lack of ninja skills (Nagato, without rinnegan he was nothing), Minato earned what he got.

Minato beat Tobi with skill, Konan who had years worth of prep time couldn't, so that tells you much. And oh please, Konan only got into the akatuski because shes Nagatos friend, nothing more and nothing less.

Essentially, he has the sharingan. Minato is above him in my opinion, yet he does no posses a born advantage, such as a KKG!
