[Question] Is there a way to be notified when someone replies to you?

Perhaps I'm just a noob, but is there a way to recieve notification when someone replies to a post you made? I'm notified when I get VMs or PMs or anything like that, but not when someone replies to any of my posts.

I've been on one other forum before, and there I was always notified when someone "quoted a post I made" - so I suppose I just wrongly assumed that all forums used this feature.

So am I missing something here and there is a way to be notified when someone replies to your post, or do I have to subscribe to every thread that I post in to check for replies?

Nope if its your own thread however you can go to view my threads at the top and it will show if someone posted on your thread

Hmm...not quite what I meant. I meant as in what I did to you just now, I "replied with quote" to your post. But thanks for the tidbit though.

I agree, there probably is one. Mabye NB just doesn't have it enabled...?

Nope, because it would be too annoying because what if thirty people reply to your posts? It'll also be a hard thing to create, with things already going on with NB.

But when I was new I wanted there too be one as well.

Well for starters you can subscribe to threads to get a notification when someone has posted.

It has been suggested several times before to get notifications when individual posts have been quoted and I know other forums have it, though personally I would find it a drag. As some people could potentially get notifications about it all the time. That could be resolved if you had the ability to toggle it on and off, but the input of an admin is needed.

NarutoBase's community is too big for that feature to be turned on. Imagine all the notifications you'd receive; you'd get fed up trust me.

Hmm.. I don't think there is an official way to do this. But what you can do is, go to 'Advanced Search' and type in your username in the keywords box. Make sure you're on 'Search Single Content Type' and show results as post. It's because when someone replies to your post, they quote it and quoting includes your username.
