mikoto: itachi i prepared a bento for you to take on your mission, also your father wants to speak to you, he is very anxious about your first mission.

itachi: thank you, i know hes probably worried that i will neglect the duties he has set for me.
mikoto: of course not, he is just worried about you.

mikoto walks up to itachi kisses him on the forehead and then leaves the room and as itachi leaves the house he finds fugaku waiting for him outside
fugaku: were you not going to say goodbye before your mission?
itachi: i figured you would be here to see me off anyway.
fugaku: itachi you may be a genin now, but someday you will lead the clan, and i hope that you realize that this clan is more important than the village.
itachi: yes father i will keep that in mind.
fugaku: good, i hope you do, and good luck on your mission itachi. the last thing i need is for you to die before fulfilling your duty to the clan.

shisui: ya, itachi and I have been in some pretty real combat with each other ever since we were able to hold kunai, i mean we could probably give your sharingan a pretty good work out, kakashi sensei. *smiles*

Kakashi: we have placed a spy in the hidden mist, ever since the fourth mizukage has taken over the mist has become very active among surrounding countries. our mission is to infiltrate the hidden mist village and resupply him.
anko: a spy in the mist? seems rather ironic

kakashi: yes, i have spent much of my childhood with this man. he is even more frightening than you three, and that is saying a lot, he is a master of interrogation and would not be caught by the enemy very easily.

shisui: ive never been to the hidden mist, their water style could be pretty tricky against our fire style, maybe it would be fun to run into a couple of missing nin. that way we would actually be doing the hidden mist a favor.
anko: its not our job to police other hidden villages, although i wouldnt mind shedding some blood today.
kakashi and shisui stare blankly at anko who shows an even more mischievous smile
itachi: entertainment is not a reason for battle or bloodshed, at least not when the battle is outside of our village. missing nin from any nation should be dealt with accordingly, but our comrade is relying on us, we must not waste time.
kakashi: itachi is right, we need to infiltrate without incident and return to konoha the same way. not only is their water style dangerous, but the mist surrounding the village may make things difficult for us as well. our sharingan abilities, are specifically the reason we were chosen for this mission. we will neutralize any threats as quickly and quietly as possible, and if we do engage the enemy, i can simply erase their memory of us with my sharingan.
shisui: hehe borrowed sharingan *laughs*
itachi: heh, i hope you dont overuse that eye kakashi sensei, especially before you show us what its like to face real combat.
