This is good news. Why continue to animate a troll series? There are more series worthy to invest in then FT.
Bad series don't get animated and not only Bleach but i think Naruto might be next.

Well that's a shame.
Apparently a series with a third of it's episodes being filler and horrible filler at that, and shitty animation is apparently better then a series with good animation and with less filler but that is still watchable.

It is true that it stopped, though the site I heard it said that fans should look forward to good news. The reason is probably because it caught up to the manga, and instead of ruining it with fillers they're stopping it for now. There's rumors of Bleach returning. Just because it caught up with the manga doesn't mean it's gone for good. I heard that the anime will return sometime this year. However, I am not sure if that's true, but it would be good news to the fans.

Obviously it will come back. The anime is only 30 chapters behind the manga, and by the time it ends it will maybe be 20 chapters behind. It's catching up far too quickly.
I'd rather they cancel it temporarily than insert another lengthy filler arc (especially since it would probably be a flashback or a pre-GMG arc), so I think it's a good call.

Fairy tail cancelled ...
I personally wish FT would not get cancelled it is upsetting the arc they are on is very good at the moment and there is much action and drama and out of the blue they say it will all be cancelled only thing good is that Hiro said there will be some big surprise he has... i doubt it is anything big a movie or OVA i believe.The manga will still be going but not seeing it in anime just is disappointing. I hope they might someday bring it back up but that is not in our hands.
