Looks
Tony has an image as a billionaire playboy...and in public? He fits it to a T. He dresses in custom-tailored suits, wears designer sunglasses, and it certainly doesn't help that he's not bad looking (or so he's told). He's about...oh...6'1. And has the build of someone who goes through moderate exercise. Brown eyes, black hair. Neat goatee. Being transported to Konohagakure will reduce him to one outfit. And it's not even his best suit (which is the Iron Man armor), or even the second best which would be the one he got a couple days ago. But at least the one he has doesn't look bad, and hey - it's comfortable.
Personality
Ask certain people, and they'll tell you that Tony Stark is a brilliant man, the best of his generation. Ask others, and they'll tell you of the Merchant of Death, the playboy who uses women and throws them away. Ask Tony, and he'll tell you that he's just an average guy before shrugging. And possibly offering a bit of innuendo about 'getting to know him' if you're female and good-looking. Tony Stark may come off as a little (understatement) arrogant, but it's more of utter confidence in his skills and abilities. He knows what he can do, and he knows it very well. He also knows that he's a rather attractive person, and that he's got a lot of money and that with money comes a certain amount of freedom that means if someone's Spring collection is ridiculously expensive he has to have it. He's not stingy with his money by any means, though he's not the sort to just throw it into charity. Yes, Stark Enterprises donates quite a bit. No, he is not going to give you a raise for sitting on your ass. They did not become top manufacturers and inventors by being morons.
And here's the next step - Stark is /smart/. He's been that way since he was born, really, always tinkering with and building things. He may be a businessman, but few things are more engaging for him than working on a secret project, and getting his hands dirty in the process. Or designing something. He can literally spend hours on one such thing, forgetting about bodily needs such as food, water, and rest. Put on some music and he's happy as a kid in a candy store, even if he's not showing it. Of course, he's also happy with a fine-looking woman or two, but that's an entirely different matter and yes he is a playboy and enjoys it to the fullest extent. Tony has a rather dry sense of humor, but he's not hard to get a smile out of - or a laugh. He generally loves having a good time, and will ignore business obligations to go out and have that good time. Nonetheless, when he gets serious, he gets intense...and recent events in his life have made him come to the conclusion that yes, he can take life. By his own hands, no less. He's dealt in weapons that kill for much of his life, and while he's become far more interested in /protecting/ life than taking it, the fact is, there's bad guys out there. Bad guys who need to be stopped, and throwing them in jail isn't always an option. When it comes down to it, when it's you, a bad guy, and an innocent...it's the bad guy who's going to go.

背景情報|BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Anthony Edward 'Tony' Stark was born in Iwagakure, to Howard and Maria Stark. Howard, his father, was a brilliant weapons developer during the 3rd Great Shinobi War and had founded Stark Enterprises some years ago...which led to the Starks being one of the top weapon designers. Needless to say, Tony had a very comfortable life, and his parents loved him dearly. They were also very happy to learn that even at an early age, Tony was something special...at 4 years of age, he built his own skateboard. At 6, his first katana. And when he was 8, he graduated the ninja academy with the highest grades. The world expected Tony to end up taking over his fathers company, and with the way things were going? When his father retired, he'd own it. Unfortunately, his father didn't get a chance to retire. He and Maria were involved in a fatal accident, leaving the company to Howard's friend, Obidiah Stane. Nonetheless, when Tony became 21, he assumed control with Obidiah as his second in command...and Stark Enterprises flourished under their leadership. It became one of the most popular companies in Iwagakure, if not the world, and Tony gained a reputation...though not all of it was flattering. he deflected titles like the 'Merchant of Death' with ease; the day people wanted to stop killing each other was the day he'd turn his company into building orphanages but until then he'd protect Iwagakure by giving them the biggest sticks, thank you very much. And they didn't -only- do weapons, there were advancements in medical technology, among others.
Such a mindset...changed...after a demonstration in the the Country of Wind. After unveiling his latest creation, to Sunagakure shinobi, Tony's convoy was attacked and he was captured by the terrorist group called the Ten Rings. In the chaos, he was injured, shrapnel from one of the explosive notes attached around the area, embedding itself in his chest. He would have died were it not for the skill of a man named Yinsen - another captive of the Ten Rings, who served as an assistant for Tony once he woke up. After pointing out the glowing device he had put in Tony's chest to keep him alive, he explained that the group wanted Tony to create a weapon of mass destruction. Tony initially refused...but after being tortured, and shown their stockpile of powerful weapons and skilled shinobi, Tony agreed. At least, on the surface. With Yinsen's help, he created a weapon powerful enough to get both Yinsen and himself out of the camp, and his new friend (who had given him a new perspective on certain things, including the weapons he built to protect being used to terrorize) out of captivity. The Ten Rings grew suspicious, and gave Tony an ultimatum: either finish the weapon within 24 hours, or Yinsen would be killed. Their time table sped up, and Tony was more than ready to blow up anyone in his way out. But while he accomplished just that...Yinsen was killed. His last words were encouraging Tony not to waste his life.
After Tony destroyed the camp, he was picked up by the Iwagakure ANBU and rushed back to the village. His first act - aside from getting some Kool Aid - was to hold a press conference and announce that Stark Enterprises would no longer be producing weapons. Quite a bit of chaos followed, including Obidiah telling him that the board of directors had locked him out on the claim that it wasn't in the company's best interest. Far from happy, Tony put his time into designing - and building - a new suit. With his state of the art workshop, materials, and technology...it wasn't long before the suit was under production, though it will take some time before the suit will be finished. His best friend and shinobi, James Rhodes, was convinced Tony was suffering from PSD. As much as Tony was eager to share the idea of suits with him...only J.A.R.V.I.S., the butler he had hired, ended up knowing of this project. Tony was surprised to find out that there was a charity event going on in his name and he never got an invitation. Deciding that there was nothing wrong with crashing his own party, he did so - and in doing so he learned a number of things.
Needless to say, Tony Stark was not a very happy person. His 'test' of the armor was actually him beating up some guys over the ocean in the Land of Water...and promptly taking care of a Ten Rings cell that was taking over a local village. The shinobi of Kirigakure couldn't move in due to human shields being used, but with help from JARVIS, Tony could exclusively target those who were rounding up the innocents. And kill them all. And...apparently on the way home, he was getting chased by the Iwagakure ANBU. /That/ was fun, especially with him not wanting to shoot his own guys and having to tell Rhodes that yes that was him in the suit and please call them off thank you and technically? That guy hit -him-, not the other way around. In the process of removing the armor, Pepper discovered him...and learned his secret. Considering Pepper was one of the few Tony trusted with his life, he was OK with this. And asked her to do him a favor - get some files off Stane's computer that he believed would incriminate the man in selling weapons. Though reluctant at first, Tony finally convinced her, and then was prepared to spend the rest of the evening with a drink.
Obidiah, however, had let himself in and promptly paralyzed Tony with a genjutsu that had not been seen before. As he removed the device that had been placed in Tony's chest by Yinsen, he taunted his 'friend', revealing that he was not only the one who had sold weapons but he had also sold out Tony himself to the Ten Rings. And that he was now in the process of building his own suit. Once Stane had gone, Tony fought the paralysis to get to his workshop where his secondary device was lying, a copy of Yinsens work...he had given it to Pepper and told her to throw it away, but Pepper had given it back to him with a border of "Proof That Tony Stark Has A Heart." James Rhodes, having learned of Stane's true colors from Pepper, found Tony on the floor...weak, but alive, having barely been able to get the device in before it was too late. With Rhodes' help, Tony got into his shinobi ropes, leaving the armor behind, ignoring the fact that his device wasn't built to hold him alive for a long period of time. It was the only hope he had to stop Stane, and save Pepper, who had gone with a group of ANBU shinobi to arrest him. It wouldn't be enough. It wasn't, and Tony in his ropes almost wasn't enough to stop Stane in his Iron armor. It took Pepper to use her most powerful jutsus and combine it with the agents in the lobby of Stark Industries to stop Stane - and Tony only survived because he barely got to activate his own jutsu, thus saving him from electrocution. After the battle he switched back the device to keep himself alive and well. Stane's death was covered up by putting him on a lost jet at sea, the explosion and damage was a horrible accident, apparently he had a bodyguard who was wearing what the press had called the 'Iron Man' armor...
...yeah, about that last part, even though Tony was clearly not superhero material, he wasn't too keen on keeping it a secret. He promptly revealed that he was Iron Man in the press conference, and when he got home, was confronted by a man named Nick Fury who was working on a project known as 'The Avenger Initiative'. Tony went to bed feeling pretty good that night. Tired, but good. He woke up rested, ate breakfast, got dressed, and promptly blacked out. He put the Iron Man suit to rest and locked it down, well knowing he did not have the sufficient technology and abilities to make his armor functional and therefore would not be able to use it for the time being.
