So tell me why did Itachi HAVE TO leave Sasuke in the Leaf?

Leaving Sasuke in the leaf surrounded by the bad people who caused the genocide like the Third and Danzo is an awful idea, an idea that led to more bad than good.

Tell me why Itachi had to make Sasuke into a psychopath avenger and didn't take Sasuke with him? It's not as if being hunted was the problem. Itachi got hunted by all the villages by joining the Akatsuki and becoming an outlaw. He could've taken his brother far away and I doubt any useless ANBU fodder or Danzo could take him out, Itachi seems pretty strong. You don't leave your brother with the psychos who made the genocide happen!

Just would've saved a lot of trouble, maybe Itachi's awful Sasuke plan wouldn't have worked out so badly if he'd actually thought it through.

His plan would have worked flawlessly if it hadn't been for Obito surviving the Amaterasu, something that no one could have even dreamed about.

He left Sasuke with the Third, knowing that he'd take good care of him (which he did), and then when Hiruzen died, he made the right precautions to prevent Danzo from trying to screw him up.

Doesn't have to join Aktsuki. That is a terrible idea. Attracting psychos like Obito, Orochimaru & Deidara who tried to pollute his brain with evil, steal his body and straight-up kill him, getting involved with the Akatsuki was probably the worst thing itachi did.

They could easily find a smaller village or become refugees, they could easily manage it.

Actually, Sasuke was pretty emotionally stable. He only became so ****ed up after hearing Obito's version of the story. Itachi's decision of leaving him in Konoha did in no way harm him emotionally, since Danzo and the others were aware of what'd happen if they tried to harm Sasuke in any way.

Sasuke loved nobody more than his little brother. It's only after the evil genjutsu torture Itachi does to him that kid Sasuke actually believes his brother actually did it at all. If corrupt older Sasuke can believe what Itachi had to go through after a life of lies then i'm sure Itachi can explain the situation to him. It's not a great thing to tell a kid but PRIORITIES.
