Good Morning Naruto Base, how is everyone doing?
Hyuga Neji is my favorite character in Naruto, why?
Well I'll tell you haha
He started out a totally douche bag in part 1 of the series and was not able to listen to reason or other people's point of view, just like Sasuke!(who is just starting to listen to reason) So then I was thinking to myself, wow here it is another tortured soul who use's his natural talent and skills to belittle and keep others as terrible as he felt. However, Then from a fight with Naruto he decided that all his beliefs were wrong and was finally open to listening to others and understanding what Hinata is going through. This showed me that he was willing to admit that he was wrong and own his mistakes and do his best to rectify them.
Right after his fight with Naruto he also learned not to take his opponents for granted and that not all outcomes are decided from the very start. This was evident when he fought kidomaru and didn't underestimate his opponent, he knew that kidomaru should not be taken lightly.
His Intelligence and analytical skills are absolutely amazing, they are not at Itachi or Minato's level of course, but i think given the chance to get to there age, he would of been close to there skill if not right on par with them. (I am not saying Neji is at there level). He is another one that can calmly address a situation and react with lighting fast reflexes. He is also a natural genius who saw the potential of his Byakugan and decided to expand upon it and learn the clan secrets by himself, because he was not privy to the clan secrets, because he is considered part of the branch family. Of course there is always room to improve. Not to mention because of the Byakugan it allowed him to control with mastery more then just one part of his body's chakra system at a time.
I won't say his Byakugan skills and abilities because there is plenty of threads on here about the Byakugan and its abilities. Not to mention on everyone will agree with me or others about its abilities.
I think his Taijutsu skills are also already well known and we don't need to talk about that to much haha he is probably one of the best taijutsu users in the Narutoverse.
I think its truly incredible that he took his shitty circumstances and proved to himself and his clan that he is not going to let his Disability (Symbol to suppress the Byakugan). He has also proved to Hiashi that he is capable if not more capable of learning even more of the clans secrets, when he can use Eight Trigams - air punch
I'll Finish up by saying that: Could Neji beat Sasuke/Itachi, most likely not, Could he beat Minato/Bee, most likely not! However, I know he would not give up without a fight and would give his opponent a damn good fight.
I do know that as we have seen when he gave his life to protect his cousin and his friend to protect the future of the world that he is an amazing person to give up his life for the good of the many and to finally realize that he was truly free to make up his own mind.
