Why Minato gave Naruto the Yang chakra

I was wondering what exactly did Minato know about the Sage of the Six Path especially when giving Naruto his seal and Kurama's yang chakra.
The yang chakra has pretty much made Naruto like the Sage's "body" and The Younger son.
The younger son inherited the "body",life-force and physical energy(yang chakra)

Naruto already being an Uzumaki already has the "body" capable of handling the Kyuubi and inherited Life-force from Kushina

Now he gets Yang chakra from the strongest bijuu and look what happens,he starts to resemble the sage's "body".
First time when he only gets a portion(notice how yamato said that naruto is filled with life-force)

and second time when kurama gives it all to him

Obito said that the Sage created a ninjutsu for the juubi and that it's quietly being passed down

and the guy in the middle of the Juubi's mouth resembles naruto's seal with the tomoes and the swirls(also you can see a staff and a scroll on his back)

you can also see this sign on it,i think it symbolizes yang chakra

so did minato do this on purpose? Or was he using the same seal from the scroll of forbidden scroll of seals and he just so happened to only give naruto yang chakra?Did minato know about the Juubi?Would it have worked if minato sealed both yin and yang chakra from the kyuubi or only yin instead of yang?

Could Hashi have known and used this seal?

and another thing the sage probably took that form that naruto did when he invented that seal so he must have been real powerful, if it takes all of kurama's yang chakra for naruto.(and he made that seal before fighting the juubi)
if the younger son knew that seal he would probably have that form too.which means that at least what the younger son inherited from the Sage had no influence from the juubi.

Maybe Minato did more then he was letting on, it would totally make sense, considering he was trained by the uzumaki themselves in order to create the seal he used on Naruto!

plus he probably gained perspective from the uzumaki and used that perspective to create some of his S/T ninjutsu.

Well sorry if I am missing something, but didn't he do this because he sealed the "evil" chakra in him and then he had to seal the yang chakra somewhere else?

that's why i wonder if hashi could have done this seal and had that form and fought madara with it(body vs eyes) but that's speculation. the only way to prove it is if it shows it

i got confused when you said sealed in him
by him i thought you meant naruto

and i know that minato said it was physically and conceptually impossible to seal all of kurama's chakra but i find it interesting that it was the yang chakra(younger son) and the more naruto gets it the more he resemble rikudo sennin

All this time I've been thinking the Younger Son inherited the Sage's powerful chakra, when it was the Elder son this entire time.

That means the Senju aren't born with powerful chakra(maybe above average) they just have his stamina and life force(Which allows them to contain a bijuu).

The Uchiha inheritied his powerful chakras(Which allows the to unlock sharingan) and will.

As for Naruto,

Maybe because of his lineage, Minato believed that he had the right body for containing the Bijuu. OR he believed that his son was the "child of the prophecy"...

I think with senjus its quantity but with uchihas its quality
Like naruto can make a lot of shadow clones quantity while sasuke can make a huge fireball Jutsu quality

^ yup, with the uchiha it's power of chakra, like madara and sasuke. with the senju it's quanity. with the uzumaki it's both- they have a ton of chakra plus powerful chakra suited for supressing bijuu. good thread.

The discussion is in itself really good, but something always bother me when people talk about Yang chakra and Yin Chakra. I think there is no such think as Yin and Yang chakra. Rather, there are Yin and Yang. These two are the basis for physical energy and spiritual energy - meaning basis for life and knowledge.

In Jiraya's comment, it said that Minato split the chakra into Yin and Yang. It also said Minato sealed the Yang so that Naruto can possess Kyuubi chakra. From that, and the actuall fact, I understand that the Yang was enough to reconstitute Kyuubi's chakra later. That mean with the Yang, Kyuubi can rebuild his Yin, and get back his chakra.

So my opinion is that current Kyuubi chakra is made of Yin and Yang. Besides, if we take into consideration everything, it appears clearly that the tailed beast bomb is made of two entities. A dark energy and a bright energy. These must be Yin and Yan as well.
