Its possible that the uzumaki was the original bloodline that split into Senju and Uchiha

I suppose. Just wondered why they were only referred to as relatives of the Senju, but not the Uchiha...

It was told in manga that SO6P was the first shinobi. His pupil/followers started the ninja clans. So it is difficult to believe that he is an uzumaki until manga tell us clearly this.

him having 'Uzumaki's symbol or mask' doesn't prove a thing because if he is the founder of all clan, it's only obvious for any clan to get a hold of 'his' symbol and other stuff that aren't important.
they already relate him to the existence of Uchiha, Hyuga [both being the eyes] and Senju [who knows dafuq he provide them with]. I wouldn't be surprised if it's revealed that the creation of all ninja's are based on evolution > from the start of Rikudou Sennin > and throughout generations; abilities evolve and later there was some sort of war and shit or people decide to create their own clan based on people with the same abilities, I dunno.

In the manga, most clans have a family crest of their clan on their clothing. (Most commonly on their back)

if you look at chapter 572 page 11, you'll see that the sage has completely different crest to the uzumaki. So it's doubtfull that the So6P called himself uzumaki, seeing as a crest also refers to the family name.

I love your theory.... But he wasn't an Uzumaki, Ninja clans didn't exist during the time of the Sage of Six Paths. So, he wouldn't have had a surname relating anything to the Clans.

While it certainly is not impossible for the Sage to be an Uzumaki there is nothing in the manga that would give us even 1 hint that that is the case, therefore we have no reason to even think he is an Uzumaki.

nice find OP and to add to this, there's a little detail which I believe holds some importance and that is the naruhina union. I think kish is suggesting that the so6p was originally a combination of the two bloodlines prior to having the juubi sealed within himself. This would provide sound reason for kakashi stating that the byakugan gave rise to the sharingan, i.e., it was a pathway for the juubi's eye to take form within a human. Some of you may remain skeptical about this but if the so6p had really found a way to use chakra wouldn't he first need to be able to see it?

There is one thing I agree with you on. The more you take Kishi easy, the better you will be. I am one of the supporter tha whatever the SO6P was, it is strongly connected to Uzumaki. EVen without your analysis, it is clear that Uzumaki have body far stronger than Senju's and a life force far stronger than Senju's as well. Second, it appears that they also have chakra very strong that can rival with the Uchiha chakra, maybe even stronger than the Uchiha. The only thing they don't have is Sharingan which is actually not the initial eyes of the elder son either. There are clear hints:

1. Of all the people, Madara gave his Rinnegan to an Uzumaki
2. Of all the people, Naruto who is also Uzumaki has some connections with Rikkudo
3. Of everything, all the science use by Rikudo to lock Juubi belongs to Uzumaki
4. The only seal that can split tailed beast chakra into Yin and Yang is Uzumaki
5. All the deadly Jutsu that can take someone Jutsu from them is Uzumaki.
6. The Uzumaki clan was destroyed because of their power


Actually, in the end, it will be all Uzumaki. Actually, everything has almost become mainstream in the manga, but the only mystery remaining is the mystery about the Uzumaki.

Wait? Naruto with Kyuubi looks like Rikudo, but wait. There is Uzumaki crest everywhere on him.

To those who think there were no clan before Rikudo.

Maybe you we should remind you that a clan is nothing but the successive children of two people- a woman and a man and their descendant. The manga only said that Rikudo preached Ninjutsu. The manga said that his era was an era of war. I wonder how people were waging war without Jutsus.

It's entirely plausible, and highly probable too that familial clans existed during Rikudou Sennin's era since it was a time of constant war and the most prominent warring factions in Naruto are clans BUT those clans during the Sage's era were non-ninjutsu wielders
