Bored so wanted to see what anime you all think had the best ending. In my personal opinion, Cowboy Bebop had the most bad ass ending while Death Note had the overall best one. It was just always in the back of my head that Light was still going to manage to kill them all and escape free like he always did.

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, there's closure unlike so many other animes

Watch Code Geass. The ending is phenomenal IMO. I also liked the way FMA: Brotherhood ended but Code Geass has the best ending.

Code Geass is one of my favorites too, its just the speculation that fans have that always ruins it for me

EVERYBODY DIES!!!!!!

1. Wolf's Rain*
2. That show completely sucked.

OT: Yu Yu Hakusho. Why? 1) I'm in it. 2) Keiko never thought that'd I'd appear. "I don't want you to wait either." She never saw that coming.

Like others have said, I'd have to go with Code Geass. Just the glory of it all and how amazing Lelouch's plan was up to the very end was fantastic. Last episode was the main reason why I like Lelouch so much, it really added meaning to everything he had done up to that point.

A close second for me is Anohana though. Most of Anohana was a pretty awesome, though not super amazing, story. But that ending was just fantastic. Seeing the way Menma acted in the midst of all the despair among the friends was something truly beautiful and Anohana's ending really is a tearjerker. While I like Clannad and Angel Beats more overall, in terms of just the ending I'd say Anohana did an even better job.

Yu-Gi-Ohs farewell ending and even Yu-Gi-Oh 5Ds' split-up ending were well done but since there are so many different series and movies; that the franchise is still alive - so can't say with certainty if there was a true ending or not.

Coming to Death Note, it was a fantastic ending but I still can't digest L's death and never really will.

Code Geass & Cowboy Bepop had great death endings - I mean the swagger in Spike's death & the way Lelouch planned his death were all done really well.

But despite the two above, I think Steins;Gate had the best ending hands-down. Whether you decide to take the last episode as ending or the OVA's as fitting ending, both were perfectly done. Also, Steins;Gate deserves lots of merit as it managed to give such wonderful finale despite being an anime on time-travel. Time-travel is probably the genre that's so often connected to loopholes in story but Steins;Gate's ending (and the whole story) delivered everything nail-on.

Death Note's ending, the atmosphere, the feels.. Never felt anything like that in any other anime

I'm going with Yu Yu Hakusho and then DeathNote for my second choice.

Really? I've been lazy watching the show, but I'll finish it after Serial Experiments Lain and Trigun.

Also, nice pic of Reiji!
