Minato's alleged 'base speed'

I am sorry, but how his the Original Poster Trolling? This base never ceases to amaze me. How would Mintao's base speed even compare to FTG? You people must be joking.

I never stated that he has fast base speed...

The point is that we've not seen his base speed and tbh anything other than FTG, is essentially his base speed. I was stating the fact that he's asking us to prove his base speed when we can't...due to the fact we've seen him in battle twice.

He used the fact that he never showed great speed against obito, to prove that he didn't have great speed, which again wouldn't be accurate, because anything other than FTG wouldn't be sufficient against Obito, giving that he can pretty much instantaneously in-tangle himself.

Im pretty sure no one here said his base speed is comparable to FTG. Just that it is well above average. If they did, well then i dont know what to say. As far as the trolling goes, he makes a thread sarcastically saying Minato has basically no base speed feats when weve seen him fight twice. Not too mention the fact that he actually does have an impressive base speed feat and then he goes and says it was shunshin without any evidence to that point.

He's not trying to bring the character down, if he was, this would've been a bashing/fanboy thread. i suspect his intention was to clarify a common misconception that Minato's Base speed is something spectacular through a sarcastic outlook, however.

Essentially you've not actually stated anything to be correct about. You just stated that he wasn't shown great base speed against obito... I've already explained that "EVEN" if he did have great base speed, he wouldn't show us it. WHY?

Easy... Minato is an smart Ninja i doubt he would waste his time, using insufficient jutsu against an opponent. He doesn't need base speed to be faster than someone...

But let's say your right? His base speed sucks... He's still faster than anyone else when he wants to... Not to mention his un-rivaled reflex's... He's still going to win!

OP is just trying to put the burden of proof on the fans, but doesn't realize he is not exempt of this rule, that's why this thread leads to nothing, he can't prove Minato's base speed is not ''impressive'', and he tried to bait the fans with that ''14 years old Obito'' remark. The bias is obvious but oh well.

so has Itachi

I never admitted that you were correct. I'm merely stating that just because he never showed us it, doesn't mean to say he doesn't have it...

Minato was analyzing Obito and wondering why he couldn't hit him, once it became clear that he couldn't touch him, because he never knew it Obito would be in-tangled or not... He realized that he only way, would be wait till the last second when he knew he wouldn't be in-tangled and strike!!!!

I'll shorten it - Even if Minato was to blitz him, it might not have worked because he never knew if obito was in-tangled, due to his physical form still showing. Thus, why he left himself open, till the last second when he knew obito would attack, leaving himself open.

And in the battles we've seen him battle so far, he either had kunais already over the place, or even tagged his enemy at the beginning of the battle without them noticing.

As soon as he has marked someone, it's over. And he has done that everytime so far.

But this is all going off topic. Your point was his base speed, and we are argueing about his FTG. We haven't seen his base speed, and we never will. Why would you use Base speed when you have something that is instant?

So we cannot say he has incredible base speed. But at the same time, using that logic, you cannot say he doesn't have incredible base speed. It works both ways.
