This I agree with 100%. I have a theory about how the descendants of the 1st and 2nd hokage and madara were all in the elite groups of the village and were in line to lead the leaf. Kinda did my own family tree... I'll outline it real quick. 1st hokage-Danzo-Tsunade-Kushina-Rin-Sakura. 2nd hokage-3rd hokage-Jaraiya-Whitefang-Minato-Kakashi-Naruto. Finally, Madara-Kagami-Orochimaru-Shisui-Obito-Sasuke. I'll explain why I feel Oro is an Uchiha if anyone cares to hear it.

Personally I think Orochimaru would be more likely to be related to senju, mostly because he has a resilient body(though partly because of his experiments) Uses a lot of techniques that rely on the force of nature, trained in senjutsu(sage's body) at least somewhat (Not saying he has Sage mode) and has a ton of chakra.
I'd really like to hear your theory though. I don't actually believe Orochimaru is a Senju or a Uchiha as of now, I would just lean towards Senju for my reasons stated if i had to pick one.
Well you all heard the 2nd hokage reference the uchiha as evil and see how he knows that most Uchiha with the MS get driven mad with power and will even kill their own people to keep or enhance their power because eventually regular MS lose their light. So if you were the 2nd hokage how would you propose to fix this problem. Of course, you take an Uchiha child and replace their eyes. Now this I see thought up and discussed between the 2nd and 3rd hokages because the 3rd was a student of the arts and Hashirama would never go for it. You take orochimaru replace his eyes as a child and let him grow up supposedly never knowing of his true heritage. No one else in naruto before Oro is shown to use snakes, so upon his adopted parents death as a child he experiments with the white snake and gains power??? Really??? That opened the door for him as a child to make his contract with the "dragon sage" and learn of his twisted past. From there, Oro meets Madara, then starts to experiment on the kids in the leaf to gain access to hashiramas power and with his Uchiha intelligence, begins to learn all jutsu, even the forbidden ones. The last thing on his list is to obtain a set of sharingans. Not just any sharingan, he needed elite MS sharingan. He couldn't get Shisui's eyes, Danzo had dibs on those, so who was next, Itachi. After failing he decided to go after Sasuke's eyes... But why fight Sasuke for his eyes if he can just get them after Sasuke gets itachi's eyes. No none uchiha could have any idea what any of the uchiha secrets were because you needed a sharingan to read the secrets, and ironically Oro knows everything... Even what mask to get to unlock the death reaper and the secret EMS access only uchiha room. Yeah he's an Uchiha. Even stumped Obito with how he had madara DNA for the Edo tensei. That also leads me to believe that Oro was in that exact same place Obito went to after he got crushed by that rock.
When orochimaru first met nagato he was a kid, starving and didn't have a clue how to use the rinnegan. Easy target. Yeah grown Nagato is a different story, but kid Nagato would have been easy.

if Hiruzen the third hokage, is a descendant of Tobirama, wouldnt that pose a bit of an age/timeline problem?
Sarutobi Sasuke is Hiruzen's father and than his mother should be Senju *insert name*.
Still leaves the situation that Tobirama seems to be around the age that he could have been Hiruzens father, so that makes it difficult to fit in Tobirama being a father of a girl and that girl giving birth to Hiruzen (not impossible though I think).
Shouldnt Oro just have gotten a pair of sharingans, if his body is Uchiha already? No need to go for the body of the Uchiha and the eyes right?
Well you have a lot of creativity put into that theory about Oro being an Uchiha.
I feel that there lacks evidence in the manga still to believe in it though, but thanks for sharing.

I don't think he needed Sasuke actual body, but I could see him pursuing Sasuke to get him away from the leaf and mold his hatred. Oro never really acts like he can beat Sasuke and considering how he fought 4 tail Naruto... Oro took it extremely easy on Sasuke. Makes me wonder especially with him helping Sasuke now.

Yeah, but looking back Oro's moves look really calculated... Brought out the 1st and 2nd to fight the 3rd gets sealed with them and joins the 4th just to be brought back to talk Sasuke at this moment. Oro loses to Sasuke but in a way protects him against Deidara. And my favorite uno noticed move... Itachi removes Oro to help everyone think Oro was gone, I doubt Itachi would be fooled so easily by Oro, seems like Oro was in the end working for the greater good of Sasuke.

I had made a thread recently about Hashirama having a possible Mokuton or Slug sage mode.
However, I am gonna kill the Mokuton part in this thread and go 100% for Slug sage mode.
Lets start with bringing Tsunade into this theory about slug sage mode.
Tsunade has Byakugo:

It represents the third eye which allows one to see past the mundane world and into the divine world. This is a clear allusion to the diamond mark on Tsunade's forehead.

What Tsunade could have been doing is storing Senjutsu chakra into the diamond on her forehead, to use Byakugo.
It wouldnt be to troublesome for Kishi to reveal later on, that Tsunade has been using a form of Slug sage mode.
Kishi could refer to it as Senpou: Byakugo later on.
We know Orochimaru could store his Senjutsu chakra in the curse seals, for example, on Anko.

Tsunade should be capable of storing Senjutsu chakra as well.
Madara said that both Tsunade and Hashirama, can use healing without seals. That they use the same thing.
She told him that she didnt inherit the Mokuton from Hashirama, but that she inherited his will and as shown, the same ability as Hashirama, to heal without seals.

The paintings on Hashirama's face, could be seen as the the four Antennas of a slug.

Sakura will get a slug contract no doubt. She is Tsunade's student and the only known person to have inherited her CES (chakra enhanced strength). Naruto, Sakura and Sasuke are the Neo Sannin.
Kishi hints at such things way before he implies them in the story.

Mount Myōboku, where you can learn Toad Sage mode.
Ryūchi Cave, where you can learn Snake/Dragon Sage mode
and the third place Shikkotsu Forest(humid bone forest, a damp forest, where slugs fit perfectly), where you can learn Slug Sage mode.
Hashirama can use Sage mode of the slugs.
Tsunade can do this as well, but maybe imperfect, just as Oro and Jiraiya have imperfect sage abilities.
Byakugo uses the power of Slug sage mode.
Tsunade and Hashirama use Byakugo.
Sakura will learn this ability.
I would like to add:
It doesnt matter that Hashirama used a Mokuton jutsu in his sage mode. It can still be a Slug Sage mode. He just uses his Sage mode to empower his already existing jutsus. Sage mode increases and changes your senses, speed, strength and jutsus.
Kishi announced that after he is done developing Kakashi, that it will be Sakura her turn.

I dont think guts is the problem. She has shown having guts several times. Especially in the Sasori fight.
If high chakra is needed, than that aint a problem too (discussed often in this thread).
