and it looked like Jura held back alot. That being said, considering hoe Laxus fought Purehito and also the three month training, i dont see any reason for him to not beat Jura. Maybe the other saints lower than him arent that strong.

well personally I think Laxus' magic is the worst match up for Jura. he uses "slow" magic while Laxus uses "fast". it was bound to happen.

I was expecting a draw of Jura against Laxus, but meh that's just how Fairy Tail rolls though Jura went probably down a bit too easy, still Laxus is now pretty beat up and then the who is going to fight Sting-problem remains.

Your positivity is misplaced as Goku is from another manga, thus starting to say that can stomp him is simply wrong and unnecessary considering it's void from any kind of reason.

This is pretty much how FT has always been and also one of the reasons why it's so popular. So stop trying to make FT into something that it's not and never shall be.

As for the people complaining about it being Deus Ex machina and what not...come on...what manga have you been reading? FT is like that. It has been so since the begining. If you disapprove, don't read it. It won't change.

Btw, in the cover, is that Sting's cat in catwoman's butt? Not a bad place to be lol.

In fact this can't even be called a Deus Ex Machina. That's when you actually made a plot so you are stuck in it and need something to break that deadlock without contradicting or voiding the things that were causing the deadlock. This isn't the case here, Laxus just beat Jura, there wasn't something like a real DEM. In The Last Airbender, now that was a real DEM as Aang had to kill the Firelord to end the war, but that would go against this teachings and would never do it. So the plot got stuck and then suddenly he learns energybending, but in FT the plot gets flipped over all the time, DEM don't really apply.

THIS CHAPTER WAS AWESOME!!! I had no idea Laxus would be Jura, well I would have thought Jura would at least put up a better fight than that. I guess those 3 months of training did Laxus some good. Erza seccond origin The excitment i feel for next week is unbearable!! 36 PAGES!! WOOOHOOO!!! And any notice those cat ears on Milliana's back side? Maybe is Lector!!

That's why I love FT so much Hiro really has that "I don't give a bloody damn about common sense or rationality and I'm not even going to hide it" attitude. This is different from most manga's and because it's something so rare, it's refreshing, it's a good change of pace ^x^

Which is why I'm also annoyed by these people always complaining about it. If it wouldn't be like that, it wouldn't be FT anymore.

Exactly The ridiculously obvious and awesome power ups, and the simple story, is the reason why people love fairy tail so much....also they complain about it like it's new, fairy tail has been like this since it first started, they should really know by now

Didnt u see his smile at page 21? He may lost on purpose in order to acknowledge Laxus fighting spirit and his attitude towards his guild/friends. AND he may realized that he can not defeat Laxus without showing the public some secret techniques which are not assigned for them. Be free to compare this with the fight Jura VS Jellal when Jellal was about to release a dangerous technique and therefore was stopped by his mate.

However, the fact that Fairy seems to achieve a complete victory may forshadows a really really fatal upheaval, remembering the prophecy/dragons/cataclysm = from heaven to hell = new Arch (thats a traditional narrative technique in movies, serials, books and also anime/manga).

Yeah. I mean, 99% of mangas are about fictional, fantastic, unreal worlds. So why would one want to read about a logical, down to earth, rational story about people who live in those worlds? I mean, darn the logic! Give me new Ougis and new origins and new power ups! Give me mayhem and wonder and kick ass fights! I want to see my protagonists win against all odds! I want to see them beat the crap out of every boss enemy with a sneeze! Ok...perhaps not that last level. But still,y ou know what i mean. FT is about defying th odds and simply having mayhemic fun and destroying everything with huge power in the end. I like it like that.

I mean, all mangas have an issue. Naruto is supposed to be the strongest ninja and only knows one technique which he keeps changing for the same result. Bleach has the death of dead people. I mean, all shinigami are dead...so how can they actually die? Not to mention that Ichigo is a mayhem of things (quincy, shinigami, human, fullbringer, hollow..) and there always seem to be someone stronger bigger and badder tha no one has ever heard about. One Piece has living robots, ships moved by cola and sea pirats that can't swim.

All mangas have one or the other illogical fact... Yet, does it matter? If it does then change up and check other mangas.
