You talk as if the BG isn't visible around the avatar and/or I don't know how to make an avatar. :|

What I think he means is that the render is oddly cut (that may not be your fault though..some renders are not as good as they seem when you add a background) so there is an odd white outline around it.

Another thing is that he render isn't very well blended with the background. Like, it is just a random c4d with no integration or depth. In my opinion, the colors are too monotone as well. You can have similar colors but they're almost all the same and there is no color contrast which is boring to look at.
