well...we have seen that the ninja world during madara and hashirama's childhood was driven with war....uchiha adults ambushing a senju kid and killing him mercilessly, and the senju clan accepting it with pride and honour....same surely happened among the rest of the clans. This is what war is all about..even the most cruel of things is fair and that's the kind of life shinobis of those days had to embrace with pride. However we did see hashirama resenting this. Hashirama was the originator of the 'Will of Fire' but here we can see a depressed kid hashirama who expresses his doubts whether it is at all possible to form an alliance among the ninjas and put an ending to the war. But quite shockingly it was Madara, who apparently was feared as the most ruthless shinobi of all times, who basically tried to console hashirama and talked about hope, believing in oneself and never giving up...which is how he was able to be successful even in a simple game of throwing a stone across the river on it's other side after repeated failiures. Madara has lost his brothers but yet we saw him standing strong with fire in his eyes(he was looking very determined when he was talking to hashirama in the last few pages). So maybe...just maybe....it can be trur that this Will of Fire concept actually came from Madara and it was what changed Hashirama and made him get stronger everytime. But as we can see, Madara later on turned evil...reasons still unknown...

How can you be so sure of that? I mean yes, hashirama did originate will of fire concept but we don't really know what happened before hashirama's tenure do we? maybe this idea 'will of fire' oroginally came from madara. Even the simplest of ideas can change a person right? And according to the latest chapeter the senjus before hashirama were a war-driven race like the uchiha and any other clan...

Actually, Tobirama mentioned what Madara said (about compromise with other clans) before Madara said it, so Tobi deserves the credit here. U_U
And Madara took it really bad when Izuna died.

You forget at the end; Madara said peace was not possible as humans can never truly reveal all of themselves to each other, more importantly the Will of Fire revolved more around belief in the future generations & the definition of what a Shinobi is & self-sacrifice, all Madara & Hashirama were doing is sharing their desire for peace.shodaimeicon:

The conversation regarding peace between madara and hashi has more to do with the formation of the countries/ hidden villages than the will of fire.

The origin of the will of fire is in this chapter and can be found in the hashi's conversation with his father. Hashi is tired of children dying in war. THis is the making of his desire is to protect the future. The will of fire is protecting your loved ones with everything you can. Remember who the king is in the asuma episodes. The king is the future generation.

I just don't understand Madara saying that he "had" four brothers. What the **** happened to Izuna then? Obviously he couldn't have died already, since they lived long enough to both get MS and for Madara to take his eyes and get EMS. And Izuna would definitely be born already cause Tobirama is already there and Tobirama and Izuna are the same age.

Unless Madara is just saying that he has four brothers, but he's going to lose them anyway because they will surely die because of the war that is constantly going on, but they aren't really dead yet.
