Remember when Madara said this: The Edo Tensei (impure resurrection) was originally intended to wipe the map clean, ALONG with the CASTER. What exactly did madara mean by this notion? Why would it wipe even the caster of edo tensei out? Did madara encounter tobirama's edo tensei in the past? What was it's military purpose for him?

I think we are about to get a heap of answers. What do you guys think?

I took it to mean that edo tensei was created in order to make use of suicide techniques that wipe out the map, including the caster. Meaning techniques such as Deidara's C0 and Madara's Meteor. Not the caster of Edo Tensei.

Read again that chapter, after madara cash 2 meteor, and still survive becouse of the edo tensei jutsu, but look to alliance shobi?? This is how to use edo....even he sacrifice but he never die....
