Lost

Where would my next advancement take me, a mystery in which I take no delight to unravel.
But I must not give in to the uncertainties, that has now clouded my thoughts.
A battle that I've grown accustom to, although the time to rest is not thus far.

Hope has now become my closest companion that I hold so dear.
Together we pursuit our next exploration to seek knowledge.
If there is life beyond the ground I stand.
Or would the search lead to a endless void.

this is more prose than poem, not a bad thing.
i think this would be a nice segment in a bigger piece, because it lacks perspective. not sure why youre saying this or whats going on. its hard to imagine a setting in which this will be said.
