And yes, he did live. However, his entire right side is gone, and was replaced with Hashirama's cells. So it's safe to say no one could have saved him besides Madara. Plot or not, if Kakashi had used Chidori then Obito would have died anyway.

He fought an Iwa-nin after that while using Sharingan and ended with a Chidori if I recall correctly. Medical nin could save him like ... RIN

Re read the chapter there is a substantial amount o rock surrounding them, had he used chidori the rubble would have collapsed killing all of them. Not too mention he was low on chakra with enemy reinforcements closing in and half of Obito's body was crushed any how they didn't have a spare body to splice him with like madara. Simple enough too much risk and little to no chance to saving Obito's life anyway.

She couldn't of done it by herself anyway. Just look at how many medics including Shizune it took to heal Neji despite only having one hole in the upper corner of his shoulder after his Kidomaru fight.

Kakashi had just invented chidori.I don't think he knew the abilities of it very well back then+he was 13.Maybe his chidori wasn't that powerful to crush the rock.
Plus Obito was half crushed.He told him to leave.If Kakashi tried to pull him out and take him back they wouldn't have lasted against the enemies.And Obito wanted Rin to go out safe.

You're really asking this question? He was just crushed by a boulder. It's not like it was just his arm or just his leg it was the whole side of his body. And just because Rin transplanted an eye doesn't mean that she could've healed Obito to the point where he would've survived. Plus they had that enemy ninja to deal with so what would be the point in trying to take a half-dead person with you while continuously healing that person and dodging enemy ninja attacks. Obito was as good as dead and it would've just been wasted chakra.
