Konohamaru was the first person (besides Hinata) to look up to Naruto. Being one of the firsts to hop on the Naruto bandwagon, I'm sure he'll turn out to be a powerful ninja. Konohamaru wants to be Hokage after Naruto, and Naruto is setting a high bar for him. He has already taken on the role of a mentor by teaching Konohamaru the Rasengan, I'd be surprised if Naruto just stopped mentoring him. I can't see Naruto's first student turning out to be weak, but saying that he's going to surpass Hashirama when Naruto hasn't even done that is silly.
