He summoned it, so of course. The fact remains that Madara, throughout his life, has always lost to Hashirama - in everything. He always has and plot will ensure he always will.

This whole "is it his power or not" idea really is one of my pet peeves. It's only really viable in versus threads or a tier list but having the Kyuubi or not should be stated anyways. Battles run off scenarios, and the Kyuubi might or might not be accessible in these scenarios. You have to define "earning something" since it's more of a subjective thing. For example, I don't think simply training 24/7 at a gym is the only way to earn a power.
