Bijuu have already stated to not be intelligent when they aren't inside a Jin.

But now that I think about it...how would Naruto beat a Bijuu anyway?

Bm is better than Kuama. It's not a fair match up as the kyuubi isn't something you beat, you have to restrain and seal it. Both have tanking feats better than their bijuu dama's. Naruto can just slap away a tbb and bijuu's can tank them. It comes down to Kurma waiting out the 8+ minuetes.

Only the original has shown the power to do that, it should be pretty clear that clones can't since every time it would have been beneficial for him to do that, he never did it.

Clones can do exactly what the original can do as long as they have enough chakra. Also wasn't his clone using partial beast mode.

Also clones can't do everything the original can so that logic doesn't work here. Naruto's clones couldn't use the Kyuubi's red cloak without poofing, that shows that there are somethings the original can do that clones can't do.
