How?? The sannin have no counter to the large scale shinra tensei of deva path.Even the boss toad couldnt withstand that apart from that there's chibaku tensei as well

Tsunade tanked that without chakra.
Orochimaru can survive it without problems.
Katsuyu would protect Jiraiya.

The only attack that can kill the sannins is the CT. But IMO Pain can't trap all of them. When Pain uses this jutsu, a one of those three can attack him.

It does not matter. Hashi is un-controllable, by Orochimaru. Hashi has no reason to fight Nagato, an Uzumaki.
Edit: Still has no reason to fight Pain. A non Uzumaki.
