What effect does Visual Genjutsu of Sharingan have on Sage Mode?

Does anyone know?

I know that Kabuto's Dragon Sage Mode allows him to cover his eyes with a membrane unique only to reptiles like snakes. Therefore, while he was in his Sage Mode, no visual Genjutsu could ever phase him.

But how does it affect Naruto's Sage Mode or even Hashirama's?

Im not sure, But wouldn't the energy he is absorbing with sage mode disturb the genjutsu or whatever??

But idk because I think you have to balance it out in the first place so it might not disturb their chakra.

Even in Sage mode you Visual Genjutsu may still be effective, remember the fight between Itachi and Kabuto though Kabuto is in Sage mode Itachi was able to put him in an Eternal Loop, and thats how the Edo Tensei was released. True that Kabuto might have protection but he was not able to effectively use it and Itachi was a master at delivering his Genjutsu.

in Naruto's case, he has Kurama. If Naurto gets caught in genjutsu Karama can distrupt his chackra flow and dispell the genjutsu. just like the Hachiibi did with Bee when Sasuke put him under his genjutsu.

As far as Sage Mode, I'm not too sure.

That's because Izanami affects through all 5 senses of the human body and not just the eyes.

Well don't bring anything or anyone like kurama into this.. this was based on sage mode, check out some traits of frogs to see if they also have anything unique , I mean kishi does base a lot of stuff from geography so maybe biology isn't to far out (ehm snake sage)

I believe frogs have different ears like nods well I'm no biologist so toodles....

Like you said, that's not the case because Itachi put Kabuto in his Tsukuyomi after he used Izanami on him, he was still in
Sage Mode but it worked.

Exactly my point, even though your in a sage mode there are ways of delivering the Visual Genjutsu of a Sharingan, effectively... Izanami is also part of the Visual power of Itachis Sharingan is it not? in order for Itachi to put Kabuto into the eternal loop genjutsu he has to prepare several stages of strategy to trap Kabuto.

by visual genjutsu if you mean illusion that attacks the sight og the victim then no....it has no effect in sage mode....however ultimate genjutsus like izanami or izanagi can affect sage mode because such genjutsu attacks all the senses thus having total control on the mind.....even a jinchuuriki cannot escape it....

Actually....the dude has a point now. hashi is a sm user as well.......

To OP Genjutsu probably affects a sm user. It is possible, that haveing the nature energy absorbed, run out, could cancel the genjutsu,(and since kabuto, has constant nature energy, he would not experiance the possible disruption.)

So so far, the only possible sm users who may have a chance of breaking a sharingan genjustsu, would be naruto and hashi, as from what we have seen, their sm is limited, as they do not have a constant intake of nature chakra, like jman, and kabuto has. (oro is unknown as we have no clue about his sm)

Izanami, i dont count as a genjutsu. It only works on certain people, basically people who run from who they are, try to change their destiny. Which hashi and naruto and jman, im pretty sure would be unaffected by it.

Also i dont count it, because you give up a eye to use it. I count sharingan genjustsu as like tsukyomi, and that sort of stuff.


(the most likely answer, is sm users cannot break sharingan genjutsu by themselves.)
