well.. I hate my country ''politicians'' more than everything on this planet.. they are the reason why we have HUGE gap between rich and poor people... and despite being born in rich and wealthy family and parents that spoiled me quite alot I still am capable of criticizing this injustice, the minimum wages in my country is 300 euro's / month and I'm making 1,500$ a week in Australia ...what's even more shocking is that Food cost same but alcohol and cigarettes cheeper.. so you could smoke, drink and die in piece. It's a beautiful city, girls .. nature... country but only if you live in Capital and you have good job.. otherways your ****'ed .. forget about unemployment support it's not a finland... this money won't be enough to last a week :shrug:

I've met so much people here from Europe who work in Australia to send money back home... and I consider myself a lucky person that I don't have to worry about my family .. it's rather they are worried about me.

See now we are talking. I grew up in a sh*t hole and have had to bust my tail for everything I have. I understand big business corporate America is evil and whatnot but I'm down near the bottom. I don't like being lumped in like that. The people I know are in hard working good people that don't condone the violence everyone seems to think every American condones. I pay almost $600 just for insurance for my family (and the irony is, if I get sick, I'm to broke from paying the insurance I can't afford the co-pay) so believe me I know how f'd up the system is in this country, but as someone who was blessed enough to grow up not worried about money like the majority of us and not ever living in this country and experiencing the people who actually make up this country your not really in a position to make statements about America burning like that, it was out of line imo

I've grown listening to ppl talking about how mighty United Sates of America are and how developed they are compared to the rest of the world (Japan, Germany & South Korea not included, of course) and just a few minutes ago i was checking a thread talking about the U.S military funds and how big it is.
I love America though i don't live there, but seriously: does America REALLY need such an enormous amount of money wasted on military R+D? Which country would be crazy enough to attack them? They have the most advanced army in the world, the second one in manpower....then again: why is that amount of money necessary?

The USA wants to stay the most technologically advanced and powerful country. To achieve this they overspend money on R&D.
