Can Hiruzen solo a single Akatsuki member

I don't see him beating Konan, she's not weak. Her body is made from paper and we saw how she can block Jiriya's sage fireball with her paper and water doesn't seem to effect her.

Kakuzu would steal his money then use his body for tentacle porn.But seriously the old man has no feats besides part 1 feats and the so called "prime" motto.Kakuzu managed to survive against the first now that's a feat no one besides Madara can achieve during that time.

I could see old man Hiruzen defeating Konan and Sasori. He's too old and wouldn't be able to keep up with Deidara or Hidan. Pain, Kisame or Itachi would just overwhelm him in brute force but you guys are seriously underrating old man Hiruzen.

I'm not entirely certain on whether he could beat Sasori or Kakazu.

I really dont think im underrating at all. Hiruzen has shown jounin-level techniques at best. Sasori's main puppet should be enough to handle Hiruzen. Pulling out the third Kazekage and iron sand is overkill. Hiruzen definitely doesnt have the mobility to deal with Kakuzu and his masks, as well as not having any defenses capable of sustaining damage from his OP elemental techs. Not too mention Kakuzu is faster than Hidan. Over all i cant speak much on the behalf of Konan. Weve hardly seen her do anything.

He could RDS almost everyone. Without. RDS he loses to Nagao and Itachi hands down and Deidara (yeah i'm biased) because of his long range style.

Edit: Kisame Tobi an Kakuzu all beat him too.

Yeah i wasnt really going to take into account RDS since thats not necessarily a victory, and him being able to hold an opponent down to complete the technique is not a given.

Hard to say . by hype yes but by feats i don't know . shadow shuriken , fire jutsu , earth for defense . summoning . he can probably beat Koran and zetsu .to bad we don't know about him in his prime !

Mmmm, agreed actually on the Kakazu/Sasori thing. I wasn't too sure.
Konan has shown to not have any real substance or form, she can be smart and tactical if given preparation time and has quite big attacks, they're all the same thing though. Paper shuriken and Paper fire clones aren't exactly enough to overpower Hiruzen. Considering he managed to defeat weakened versions of the 1st & 2nd simultaneously (which still IS an impressive feat) He could defeat Konan. (And I actually prefer Konan so yknow)

Orochimaru is probably the #5 strongest Akatsuki member (only Itachi, Pain, Tobi and Sasuke can beat him)
Orochimaru was afraid of Hiruzen and waited till he becomes a 70 years old grandpa (and we're talking about a guy who attaked the strongest jinchuuriki with 0 fear, also attacked Itachi two times with 0 fear)
so I think a young powerful Hiruzen could beat most Akatsukis...
